Day 2 and 3 in Lloret de Mar - Spain
What can I say, folks? It’s simply fascinating to be here in Lloret de Mar, taking part in the World Championship and competing against some truly skilled dart players. Even though I still can’t really warm up to the Cricket mode on the BullShooter system – in the end, it doesn’t matter. The spirit here is just amazing!
In the team competition, we started as Team Germany 2 – with Andy, Luca and myself. Unfortunately, we had to accept two tough losses right at the beginning in the first doubles. The second block went a bit better, but it still wasn’t enough for a real breakthrough.
On the loser’s side, we came out strong: Basti and I confidently won our first doubles match. Luca and Andy weren’t as lucky afterwards – so it was 1:1. The last two doubles had to decide whether we’d stay in the tournament or be knocked out. Sadly, the darts just didn’t go our way – and so we exited the competition rather quietly and quickly.
But: Our first team, Team Germany 1, we supported them with full energy – and it paid off! The guys fought their way through the field, reached the final – and won the title! World Champions 2025 – absolutely amazing, guys! Huge congratulations to you – you’re legends!
Now we’re heading into the final day of the tournament on Sunday, where the singles are still to be played. I hope I can show a bit more there than I have in the past few days. I’ll keep you all updated – thanks so much for your support!
